Jack Crabtree, age 88, of Livingston, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family.

Born on June 17th, 1936, Jack was a lifelong resident of Overton County and a graduate of Livingston Academy. He proudly served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and built a legacy of service to his community through his work and personal relationships.

For 33 years, Jack managed the Hidden Valley Golf and Country Club. Before that, he served as manager at Overton Bowling Lanes from 1964 to 1978. Through these roles, Jack influenced countless young people and community members.

Jack was a member of the First Christian Church. He found joy in gardening, golf, NASCAR, and football—cheering for both Vanderbilt and the Tennessee Volunteers. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Reba McCormick Crabtree; his children, Stan Crabtree and Tamara Crabtree; sister-in-law, Nina Crabtree, and several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Dillie Cargile Crabtree; father, James William Crabtree Sr.; and brothers James William Crabtree, Jr., Ronald Crabtree, and Max Crabtree.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church on Friday, May 2nd, with Rev. James Shenko officiating. Visitation will be held before the service at the church from 4-6 p.m.Everyone is welcome to join the family in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service for a reception.
