Mr. Ambrose Hough, Jr. was the son of the late Rev. Jasper B. and Mrs. Margaret Funderburk Hough, was born December 29, 1957, in Union County, North Carolina. He departed his life on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at home.

Ambrose Hough was preceded in death by three sisters: Hattie Ann Hough, Harris Ann Hough, and Rose Mae Hough, and three brothers: Jasper James Hough, Joseph Columbus Hough, and Roland Alexander Hough.

Ambrose was educated in the Union County School System. He was a long- time employee of Howey, maintaining the farm and land equipment. Ambrose loved to hunt and fish with his hunting buddies He leaves his cherished and loving memories to his daughters Shanta Moore and Shantelle Collins (Sam Jr.) of Monroe, North Carolina; Two brothers: Mr. David Hough and Mr. Henry Winchester (Linda); Six sisters Mrs. Ernestine Cuthbertson,
Ms. Margaret Ann Hough, Mrs. Lethia Gaither (Dale), Ms. Jacqueline Rorie of Monroe, North Carolina, Ms. Viola Hough of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mrs. Mary Harris (Lee) of Wingate, North Carolina. Grandchildren: Tyree Houston, Tyriona Houston, Tyshon Houston, late Keyshon Houston, Kelis Houston, Kya Houston. Ja’Quez Ivey, Sirlester Ivey, Kiera Ivey, and Ciera Ivey. Two great grandchildren: Amoorah Ivey & Andreas Moore. One aunt, Mrs. Dorothy Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
