Donna Rusk of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the age of 54 years. She was born in Winnipeg, MB, on March 23, 1971.

Donna enjoyed tending to her gardens, being out in the sunshine, expressing her creativity through her nail art, and listening to her favourite music. She spent much of her time with her beloved cats, Scoob and Storm, who brought her immense joy. Most of all, Donna enjoyed being present with her loved ones and having her friends over for company. Donna loved to have a good time, especially if a game of dice or cards was involved.

She will always be remembered as saying, "You got a dodo?"

Donna was loved by many people. She was always a shoulder to lean on for whoever came into her life. She was always there to help; she was a caretaker and welcomed everyone with open arms as if they were family.

She was also brave. Donna navigated a long and challenging journey with alcoholism and found the strength to embrace sobriety for the later half of her life.

Donna is survived by her two children, daughter Jasmine Rusk, and son Luke Rusk, of Calgary, AB, as well as her grandson, Dominic Rusk, of Calgary, AB. Donna is also survived by her three siblings, Sean Rusk of Winnipeg, MB, Laura Rusk of Nakusp, BC, and Ryan Rusk of Calgary, AB.

She loved her children very much and we know she will watch over them and protect them as they go through life. She was cherished by her siblings and cousins for her wild caring nature and will be deeply loved and sorely missed. Her uncle Myles, aunt Roberta, and cousins, Lee, Cheyenne, and Jeri will profoundly miss her.

May she find peace and happiness as she rests. Donna is now with God, with her grandmother Louise, mother Carol, and her aunty Kaye. We will celebrate her life and hold her dear in our hearts forever.

Funeral Services will be held at 43 Sundown Way SE, Calgary, AB, on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
