Keating, Rita Mary (Mintha) -

Rita passed away peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Jim Keating (Oct 17, 1980) and dear mother of David Keating, Mary Keating-Wood (Perry), Peter Keating (Carmen). Loving grandma of Sarah Van Alphen (Sean), PJ Wood (Lindsay), Rebecca Lam (John), and Jacqueline, Justine, and Patrick Keating. Great Grandma of Andy, Kaden, Emily, Kolby, and Reggie. Sister of Zig Mintha, Sister Bernice Mintha, and Margaret Winsor and sister-in-law of Sharon Mintha. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents Anne and John Mintha, siblings Alfay, Maxie, Ursula and Monica and sister-in-law Shirley Mintha, and brother-in-law Chet Pawlak.

Rita was a long-time member and Past President of the CWL and served as Parish Secretary and Sacristan at St. Mary’s Parish for over 15 years and will be greatly missed by all of her friends and former colleagues.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg by Rev. Fr. Seejo John, on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment follows in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. All funeral attendees are invited to join the family for a CWL-prepared luncheon in the St. Mary’s Church basement hall, immediately following the interment.
