Mrs. Evie Anderson Rainey, 75, of Meridian, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Diversicare of Meridian. Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis. Services will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2025, with Rev. Victor Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Bounds Cemetery.

Mrs. Rainey was born in Hattiesburg, MS, on January 3, 1950, to Irvin C. Anderson and Lilie Jones Anderson. She was happily married to Ronnie B. Rainey for 35 years until his passing and they had three children together whom which they loved dearly. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren and you could often find them picking on one another, joking, and laughing. In her spare time, you could find her watching the ducks, fishing, or enjoying a good Baseball or Football game.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin C. Anderson and Lilie Jones Anderson; beloved husband, Ronnie B. Rainey; brothers, Edward Anderson, Charlie Anderson, and Wilkie Anderson; and grandson, Chris Rainey.

Mrs. Rainey is survived by her son, Ronnie Rainey, Jr. of Diamond Head, MS; daughters, Vickie Rainey and Alisa Rainey Yawn both of Purvis; brother, Bailey Anderson of Meridian; ten grandchildren, Ronnie Rainey III (Raven), Alexa Bounds (Daniel), Brandi Moore (Brian), Ashlee Watts, Kristen Watts, Jacki Yawn, Lacey Yawn, Julious Yawn, Shai Yawn, and Kadence Lovett; six great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jace, Arlo, Alaina, Ronnie, and Vallon; and a host love nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be William Anderson, George Anderson, David Rainey Jr., David Rainey III, Josh Rainey, and Joe Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Rainey III and Julious Yawn.
