Peter Neubacher, 76, of Morganville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Born in Waidhaus, Germany on June 14, 1948, Peter immigrated to the United States with his family in 1950, settling in the Bronx where he spent his formative years.
In the early 1960s, Peter moved to Hazlet, where he met and married the love of his life, Kathleen, in 1969. Their union would span five decades until her passing in 2018. A dedicated electrician with the Electrical Union in New York, Peter was also deeply committed to his community, coaching both soccer and little league for local youth teams.
An avid sports enthusiast, Peter cherished watching his beloved Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. He found joy in tending to his vegetable garden and delighting family and friends with his signature "Sebastian Steak." Above all else, Peter treasured time spent with his family and grandchildren, creating memories that will be cherished for generations to come. His spirit extended to his four-legged companions as well, particularly his beloved dog Huckleberry.
Peter was predeceased by his parents, Horst and Karolina (Heirold) Neubacher, and his wife, Kathleen Hotchkiss. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, Peter J. Neubacher and Kristen Crotty and her husband Charles; his grandchildren, Alexandra, Harry and his wife Casey, Charlie, Sarrah, Peter J. Jr., and Madilyn; and his great-grandchild, Aurora.
In accordance with his family's wishes, Peter was privately cremated. Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
