Mr. James Edward Ballard, age 80 of Andalusia, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025 in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Foreman Funeral Home with Bro. Frankie McVay officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery with Foreman Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Ballard; sons, Todd Merrill (Janet) of Rose Hill, Jeremy Ballard of Rose Hill, and Jason Ballard of Elba; grandchildren, Kayla Davis (Shane) of Andalusia, Ryan Merrill of Dothan, and Aubrey Merrill (Hunter Walker) of Rose Hill; great-grandchildren, Devin and Eli Davis of Andalusia; and a brother, Arthur Ballard of Andalusia.
Pallbearers will include Hunter Walker, Randy Ray, Mark Biggs, Shane Davis, Gary Moore, and Sheldon Biggs.
Mr. Ballard was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Grady and Katie Pittman Ballard; brothers, Robert Ballard, Willie Ballard, and Levon Ballard; and sisters, Mattie Ward, Louise McVay, Mary Biggs, and Georgia Lou Ballard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's or to the favorite charity of your choice.
