Lila June Golden, 94, of Warren, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with her family by her side.

Lila was born on June 22, 1930, in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, to Frederick J. and Lila May (Horsfall) Eukel. After graduating from Warren High School in 1948, she earned her cosmetology license in 1949. She worked at the Modern Beauty Shop before embracing her greatest vocation — that of a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.

On September 16, 1949, Lila married Harold E. Golden. Together they built a life centered on family and community during their 62 years of marriage.

Lila’s days were woven with service and creativity. She was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, a Cub Scout Leader, and devoted member of Mother's Club. A talented seamstress and quilter, Lila was always making something with her hands — stitching love into every piece. 

Her greatest joy was her family. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were deeply cherished, each one a precious thread in the fabric of her life. Her deeply loving heart was matched only by her steady spirit - a quiet strength wrapped in tenderness, sprinkled with spunk - a testament to the beauty of a life well lived. She left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.

Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, wrapped forever in God’s perfect love.

She is survived by her children: Edward (Diane) of Aberdeen, SD; Peggy of Fargo, ND; John (Danielle) of Warren, MN; and Steven (Joyce) of Los Angeles, CA. Her grandchildren: Tracy, Brian, Nicholas, Kelly, Tyler, Parker, Brianna, and Zoey. Her great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Zachary, Logan, MaKenna, Taytum, Kullen, Brianna, Mason, Adelyn, Dane, Lila, Audrey, Ellie, Harlee, and Graham.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold (2011); her parents, Frederick and Lila; seven brothers and sisters (who affectionately called her “Tates”); her son-in-law, James Duray; and two great-grandsons, Jacob and James.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in Grace United Methodist Church of Warren, MN.
VISITATION: Thursday evening, May 1, from 5:00-7:00 PM, in DuBore Funeral Home; and one hour prior at the church.
INTERMENT: Greenwood Cemetery, Warren, MN.
