Carl Edward Womac, also known as Eddie and "Bird" was his nickname 67 a resident of Cleveland passed away Wednesday April 23, 2025 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was the son of the late Sam Womac and Lillian Waddell and was also preceded in death by his grandson Chase Wilson along with 8 brothers and sisters. He was a well-known mechanic.

Survivors include his daughters Cayci Folds (Pete), Carllisa Flowers (Alan) and Jessica Howard and her fiancé James, 11 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren, brothers Gene Womac and Lon Womac sister Joni Sanders along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held Monday at 2pm at Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee St. Chapel with Rev. Rick Hill officiating. The interment will follow at Womac Cemetery in McMinn County with friends and family serving as casket bearers. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 until 2pm at the funeral home.
