Cary Bentz, age 60, of Dublin, passed away on April 26, 2025.
Mr. Bentz was born in Chicago, IL, on June 1, 1964, to the late Wallace and Joann Alberson Bentz. Cary was self-employed as a carpenter most of his life and was truly a “jack of all trades”. He was loved by everyone and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Cary enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brian Michel Bentz.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 33 years, Peggy Foskey Bentz of Dublin; daughters, Brandi Farmer (Joseph) of Dublin, and Jessica Horton (William) of Dexter; son, Cory Bentz (Lisa) of Ludowici; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Mary Whitaker Townsend Memorial Chapel at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Kelvin Foskey will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Cory Bentz, Ashley Endfinger, Dalton Persinger, Will Cooper, Granger Farmer, and Ken Davis.
