Anita L. (Bobalik) Williams Obituary

Anita L. (Bobalik) Williams passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 82. Born on October 13, 1942, to the late John and Anna (Ventre) Bobalik, Anita lived a life defined by her devotion to her family, her students, and the many passions that brought joy to those around her.

Her academic journey led her from Liberty High School to Kutztown University, where she earned her degree in education — a profession that became her true calling. Anita began her career teaching Spanish in the Lehighton School District, eventually earned her Master’s degree while studying abroad in Quebec, Europe and Mexico, and taught both Spanish and French in the Emmaus School District, where she inspired countless students until her well-earned retirement.

Family was the cornerstone of Anita's life. She was the loving wife of the late George R. Williams and the devoted mother of Lisa Caiazzo (Angelo) and Lori Gilroy (Jeff). She also shared a close bond with her siblings, Phyllis Spencer (George), and John Bobalik (Lucy). Among her greatest joys was her role as a grandmother to Anthony and Nicholas, whom she adored beyond measure.

Anita's interests were as vibrant as her classroom. An avid golfer and an enthusiastic reader, she also shared a love of travel with her husband, cherishing their many adventures together. She especially treasured the family’s annual beach trips to Brigantine. A passionate baseball and football fan, Anita cheered wholeheartedly for the Phillies, Eagles, and Penn State Nittany Lions, celebrating every victory.
