Thomas Edward Alexander Obituary

Thomas Edward Alexander, known affectionately as Tom to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Safety Harbor, FL, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on June 25, 1953, in Waupun, WI, Tom's zest for life and his warm, generous spirit were evident from his early years.

Tom's journey took him from the heartland of Wisconsin to the sunny shores of Florida, with a memorable sojourn in Monterey, California. Throughout his life, Tom was a devoted family man, cherishing his beloved wife Suzana, and their children Dan and Shane. Tom was predeceased by his oldest child, Rebecka, and his parents, Paul and Alice Alexander. He is also survived by his brothers, Micheal and Bob Alexander, who will remember Tom for his unwavering loyalty and infectious laughter.

Although he pursued some college education, Tom found his true calling in the food industry. His career began as a meat cutter and manager at Val’s Finer Foods in Clearwater, FL, where he was respected for his work ethic and leadership. Later, Tom's entrepreneurial spirit led him to become the owner of Fresh Catch Fish Market in Monterey, CA, where he combined his love for fresh food with his knack for business.

Tom's community involvement extended beyond his professional life. He was a passionate baseball coach, inspiring young athletes with his love of the game and his commitment to teamwork and fair play. His guidance on the field was a testament to his belief in the potential of every individual.

A true sports enthusiast, Tom's love for watching sports was only matched by his passion for playing them. He was an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Rays, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his favorite teams. Golf was another of Tom's great pleasures, and he enjoyed many sunny afternoons on the greens until his illness made it too challenging to continue.

Tom's legacy is one of joy, resilience, and the enduring power of family and community bonds. He navigated life's ups and downs with humor and grace, and his memory will be treasured by all who knew him. His laughter, his unwavering support for his loved ones, and his ability to see the good in every situation will remain as guiding lights for his family and friends.

As we say farewell to Tom, we celebrate a life well-lived, marked by genuine kindness, a spirit of generosity, and a heart full of love. His story is not just one of personal success but also of the countless lives he touched with his sincere interest in others' well-being. Tom's presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.

We take comfort in knowing that Tom is now at peace, free from the constraints of his illness, and we hold tight to the memories that will forever keep him close to our hearts. Tom's life reminds us to embrace each day with enthusiasm, to nurture the relationships that matter most, and to always find time for the things that bring us joy.

As we honor Thomas Edward Alexander's remarkable journey, we remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left an indelible mark on the world. May his story continue to inspire us all.
