Frank E. Sell, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at SSM St. Mary Hospital – Madison. He was born April 8, 1938, in Chicago, IL the only son of Frank and Eleanor (Perkowski) Sell. On October 19, 1963, he married the former Marjorie Soulak at St. Beatrice Catholic Church, Schiller Park, IL. Frank was an engineer his whole career and life.

A great passion of Frank’s was airplanes, and he became a pilot and owned his own Cessna, which he kept at the Brodhead Airport. He would spend countless hours at the airport just being there enjoying everyone’s company. He also enjoyed collecting classic cars, going to swap meets for car parts, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years Marjorie Sell; five children: Francee (Frank) Cruz, Scott (Kara) Sell, Amelia (Brian) Rocha; Sara (Steve) Sell-Ziebell, and Nathan (Nicole) Sell; grandchildren: Madelyn, Samantha, Sydney, Shawn, Emma, Samantha, and Kaitlyn. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration time for Frank will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the APFEL WOLFE FUNERAL HOME, 21 S. Austin Rd, Janesville.
