With heavy hearts, we announce our beloved Lorraine Ordway Gordon, a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the age of 81. Laurie was born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 16, 1944. She was the heart of our family and known for her warmth, kindness, strength & love. Laurie spent much of her life caring for her family and was a comforting presence to all who knew her. She found joy in making and gifting quilts, reading, cooking, watching birds in her garden, playing games, spending time with her family and friends, and above all, her faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 59 years, Peter Gordon; her daughters, Kara Ranieri and Leslie Finke; her son’s in-laws, Vince Ranieri and John Finke; and daughter in-law, Kimberly Gordon. She is also survived by her grandchildren whom she adored; Rachel, Joey, Andrew, Amanda, Heidi, and Michael; her sister, Barbie, brother in-law, Bob; and niece and nephew, Cristie and Michael. She was predeceased by her parents, David and Carol Ordway and her son, Dwayne Gordon.

Laurie will be sorely missed but her legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched and the beautiful memories she helped create.

Please join us for a Calling and Celebration of Life for our cherished Laurie on Wednesday, May 21st at Zionsville Fellowship Church located at 9090 Oak Street, Zionsville, IN 46077. Visitation hours will begin at 4pm until the time of Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7:00pm.

Laurie had a special place in her heart for people who were hurting and suffering. In lieu of flowers, we know she’d prefer donations be made to one of her favorite ministries: Hebron Addiction Recovery & Discipleship Program/Wheeler Mission, 205 East New York Street Indianapolis, IN 46204.
