Helen Faye Puzier (Curren) Obituary

NEWTONVILLE – Helen Faye (Curren) Puzier, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Willsboro, NY on September 24, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Shepard) Curren. Helen embraced her north country roots and took pride in caring for her home and family. She enjoyed going to casinos and family trips to the Adirondacks, New England and Ocean City, NJ.

Helen was a dedicated employee of NYS Higher Education Services, retiring in 1993. She was a life member of the Schuyler Heights Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Watervliet Christ Church, and a founding member of Wildwood.

She found great joy as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, especially during family gatherings and holiday dinners. Stylish and spirited, she never missed a hair appointment and loved baking, shopping, and sharing generously with those she loved.

She is the beloved wife of 70 years of Stephen Puzier; loving mother of Stephen Puzier of Altamont, Bob (Theresa) Puzier of Latham and Marc (Audrey) Puzier of Watervliet; adored grandmother of Lauren (Stephen Douglas) Puzier, Sara (Steven Fendrick) Puzier, Allison Puzier, Anna (Brian) McCabe and Robert (Alyssa) Puzier; great-grandmother of Calvin, Alex, Max, Jackson, Elliot, John and Charlotte. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Helen is predeceased by her siblings, Marilyn Egglefield, Roderick (Marge) Curren, Richard (Alberta) Curran and Bruce Curran.
