Charles V. (Charlie) Snyder, age 84 years, of Delta, PA died at his home on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. He was the husband of Edna Pauline Leftwich (Watson) Snyder who died on March 9, 2025.


Born in York, PA on March 31, 1941, he was a son of the late Donald B. and Marceline E. (Steele) Snyder. A heavy equipment mechanic, Charlie worked for the former Snyder Canning Factory, the former Whiteford Packing Company, Dixie Construction, and retired from American Infrastructure Co. He also worked as a mechanic and welder for many people in the community over the years. A lifetime resident of the Delta area, he was also a part time farmer on the family farm. Charlie was a member of American Legion Post #182, Whiteford, MD and the former John S. Murphy Post #7130 VFW, Delta.


Charlie is survived by

One son, Mark A. Snyder of Delta, PA


Three grandchildren,

R. Collin Snyder, and his wife, Amber of Brogue, PA

Brody Snyder, and his wife, Rhoda of New Park, PA

Aubree Reichard, and her husband, Dylan of Delta


Six greatgrandchildren,

Bryson, Zoe, Ryker, Carter, Maverick, and Nash


One brother,

Ronald Snyder of Georgetown, DE


One sister,

Nancy Spangler of Spring Grove, PA


One stepson,

David C. (Rusty) Leftwich, and his wife, Beverly of Pylesville, MD


A gathering in memory of Charles will be held at 815 Delta Road, Red Lion, PA 17356 on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 6 – 9 pm.
