"Victor Cole Swanson, known affectionately as Cole, was a beacon of life's boundless potential, a man who embraced every moment with passion and love. Born on July 24, 1993, in Marquette, Michigan, Cole's journey on this earth was one marked by the joyous laughter of his children, the deep bonds of family, and the unwavering dedication to his craft. On April 23, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Cole's story reached its untimely end due to cancer. Yet, the legacy he leaves behind is as enduring as the steel he so skillfully wrought.

Cole's life was a testament to the power of resilience and determination. After obtaining his GED, he honed his skills at a vocational school, where he discovered his true calling in fabrication and machinery. This passion led him to establish Swanson Engineering and Fabrication, LLC, where he served not only as the founder and CEO but also as the heart and soul of the company. He poured himself into his work with a dedication that inspired all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Beyond the walls of his business, Cole found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid boater, reveling in the serene beauty of being on the water, whether it was for a peaceful day of floating or an exhilarating snowmobiling adventure. His hands, so capable in the workshop, also brought to life the melodies of a guitar, filling his home with music and warmth. Cole's love for boat and vehicle restoration was not just a hobby but a reflection of his belief in the possibility of renewal and second chances.

Yet, for Cole, the true masterpiece of his life was his family. His beloved wife, Danielle Marie Swanson, stood by his side as a partner in every sense, sharing in both his dreams and his everyday joys. Together, they raised their daughters, Skyler and Sofi, and their son, Steven, in a home that resonated with love and laughter. Cole was a living example to his children of what it means to pursue one's passions with a full heart.

Cole's family extended beyond his immediate household to include his cherished nephews, Brantley and Owen Ramsey, and Danny Robinson, as well as his adored nieces, Iris and Ivee Alvarado. The wisdom he imparted to them was grounded in his own life experiences, and his guidance was a compass for their young lives. They will forever hold dear the memories of their fun-loving uncle. Cole's in-laws, Dan and Cheryl Robinson, and his sister-in-laws Kendra Robinson, Deanna Robinson, and Cara Ramsey, found in him a steadfast friend and ally. His mother, Janet Hrostowski, his stepfather, Eddie, and his siblings, Brant and Shelby Swanson, knew the depth of his loyalty and love. Cole's grandparents, Kay and the late Richard Swanson, and his uncles, Rick and Eric Swanson and his wife Debbie, along with Aunt Val Stewart and Aunt Suzie Smith and her husband Tom, all shared in the richness of his life.

Cole's presence was a light that could not be dimmed, even by the shadow of loss. His father, Craig Swanson, preceded him in death, but the strength and character he instilled in Cole continued to shine brightly in the way he lived his life.

Those who knew Cole understood that to describe him as passionate, selfless, and loving was to capture only a glimpse of the man he was. His spirit was a force of nature, an unstoppable current that propelled him forward and urged us all to follow in his wake. Cole's life was a reminder that our time here is precious, and he lived every day with the intention of making it count.

Let us celebrate Cole not for the time he spent with us, but for the way he spent it. His life was a beautiful composition. A symphony of love, dedication, and joy that will continue to echo in the hearts of those he loved.
