George K. Reffitt, aged 98, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025.


George was born on January 29, 1927, to the late Turner and Ora Reffitt, in Greenup County, Kentucky. 


The family moved to Ohio when George was 10 years old. He attended Sparta High School where he enjoyed playing basketball. George enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid fisherman, and golfer. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He retired from PPG in Mt. Vernon and was a proud WWII Army Veteran.


George was married to his wife, Betty, for 69 years until she passed in 2021. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mabel, Russell, John, Charles, James, and Oakley.


George is survived by his loving children, Dan and (Maribel) Reffitt, Dave and (Lisa) Reffitt, Tamara and (Marc) Cunningham, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.


The family is observing private services.  The Snyder Funeral Home - Lasater Chapel is handling the arrangements for the Reffitt family.
