MALINICH, Mary Ann – of Burton, Michigan, age 87, fell asleep in the Lord on April 23, 2025. An Office of Christian Burial (Funeral) Service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 with one hour of visitation prior to the service at St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 2333 Elms Road, Flushing, Michigan. The Very Reverend James Jude Batcha, celebrant. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, Michigan with a Panachida Service being held at 6:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Research Foundation in honor of Mary Ann.

Mary Ann was born on January 17, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, the beloved daughter of the late George and Mary Meyer. On January 18, 1958, she married the love of her life, William “Willie” Malinich, in Flint, Michigan. Mary Ann was a dedicated employee at GM – Flint V8 Engine, where she worked for 16 years before retiring. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life — knitting, crocheting, and cooking with love. A familiar face at UAW Local 659, she enjoyed many lively games of bingo with friends. A woman of deep faith, Mary Ann was a devoted member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, where she had worshipped faithfully since 1958. Her life was marked by love, laughter, and devotion to family, faith, and community.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, William “Bill” Malinich, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, William “Willie” Malinich; both parents; brother, George J. Meyer.
