Doreen Marie Laferriere (Thierrien), 61 years old of Woonsocket, passed away Tuesday evening, April 22, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Doreen was born in Woonsocket, January 1964 and was the daughter of Raymond and Constance (Phaneuf) Thierrien. On April 24, 1964, Raymond Thierrien tragically passed away. At a young age, Doreen loved caring for animals and learning how to play the guitar. In her teenage years, she learned karate and went on to win numerous competitions. She graduated from Mount Saint Charles Academy in 1982 and gave birth to 3 children: Derek, Jacob, and Kristy Laferriere. Doreen also worked as a CNA for over 15 years and enjoyed arts and crafts and gardening in her spare time. She was diagnosed with dementia in 2018-19.
