Carissa A. Doctor - age 47, of Knoxville, TN passed away on April 23, 2025.
She grew up in Myrtle Beach. She loved the ocean and being outside in the sun. She loved her family and spending time with them. She loved listening to music, dancing and singing. She was full of life and had a free spirit.
Carissa was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. Doctor and Glenda Mae Shropshire.
She is survived by her life partner, David Newman; daughter, Hannah Newman; son, Brandon Paul Doctor; sisters, Rhonda Canham, Angela Long, Pamela Bunch; granddaughter, Vaelyn Newman; grandson, Vincent Newman; and her Yorkie, Bella.
The family will receive friends 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Bridges Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kenny Rogers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 PM on Friday, at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service.
