Follens, Jacqueline Helena (Goderis) (October 9, 1935 – April 23, 2025)

Passed away peacefully, Jacqueline Helena (Goderis) Follens, a resident of Union, ON, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, on April 23, 2025, at the age of 89. Jacqueline was born in Ooigem, W.F., Belgium, to Jerome and Martha (Coussens) Goderis. Jacqueline was a member of Holy Angels' R.C. Parish, St. Thomas. Jacqueline was a dedicated auxiliary employee of St. Thomas Golf and County Club, in Union, until her retirement. Jacqueline was the happiest when spending time outdoors and caring for her flower beds. Jacqueline is survived by her much-loved husband of 68 wonderful years, Omer Follens. Also survived by her brother Jacques Goderis, of Belgium; sister Lisette (Noel Jacques), of Belgium; sister-in-law Rosa Follens (late husband Marcel), of Tillsonburg; twin brother Robert (Rosa) Follens, of Belgium, as well as by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her sister Nicole Vandenbroucke (late husband Willy).

In keeping with Jacqueline’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Saturday May 3rd, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton. Funeral Liturgy of Christian Burial follows on Saturday at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel, by Rev. Fr. Seejo John. Interment in Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery, Langton.
