DECATUR - Claude Anthony Holmes, Jr. 20, of Decatur departed this life on Sunday, March 28, 2010. Tony as he was affectionately called was born on September 13, 1989 the son of JoAnne (Knotts) Meyers and Claude Holmes, Sr. He previously attended New Life Church of God and worked at Caterpillar. He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, JoAnne (Kenneth) Meyers, father, Claude Holmes Sr., children, Iziah Holmes and Joziah Holmes, companion and mother of his children, Shantanise Holmes, siblings, Pamela Holmes, Tania Chaney and Tony Chaney, Jr., grandmother, Shirley Knotts, maternal aunts, Patricia Knotts, Peggy Knotts, Virginia Knotts, paternal aunts, Rose Crocker, Elizabeth King, Patricia Martin, Marilyn Howard, Pamela Holmes Campbell; paternal uncles, Charles Holmes, Larry Holmes, Alex Holmes and a host of cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Claude Anthony Holmes III, grandparents, Roy Knotts and Louise Holmes, aunt, Diane Holmes, uncles, Thomas "T.C." Holmes and Cedric Holmes. Services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday at the Church of the Living God Temple 33 with Bishop Calvin Peppers, officiating. Visitation one hour before service. Burial: Boiling Springs Cemetery.
