Thomas Edgar Kloes Obituary

Thomas Edgar Kloes of Pittsburgh, PA passed away on April 23rd 2025. He was 82 years old. 

Tom grew up on the north side of Pittsburgh and was a graduate of Perry High School. He was the son of the late Edgar Thomas Kloes and the late Dorothy Miriam (Walsh, Kloes) Fuchs.

Tom worked for a Ford dealership right out of high school. He then moved on to work for the United Parcel Service and eventually joined the Teamsters Union doing OTR trucking and teaching CDL classes. He also co-owned a dog boarding kennel with his wife and a commercial electrical contractor business. As a Teamster, Tom also enjoyed work as a transportation captain on movies filmed in Pittsburgh such as Hoffa and Dead and Alive: The Race for Gus Farace. 

Tom loved various types of sports and was a member of the Butler County Horseshoe League and Westview Hunting and Fishing Club. He also enjoyed motorcycles and snowmobiles, once belonging to a snowmobile water skipping league that raced snowmobiles across lakes.

Tom married his high school sweetheart, Judith Harriet (Manges) Kloes in 1964 and they were married for 47 years until her passing in 2011. He is survived by his three children, Thomas Charles (Lisa) Kloes, Timothy Michael Kloes, Tami Lynn (Joseph) Kukosky and brother James Arthur (Lynette) Kloes. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Family will be receiving friends at Westview Hunting and Fishing Club located at 531 Sandy Hill Road, Valencia PA on June 7th 2025 at 1 p.m.
