Mrs. Edna “Tinker” Robinson, age 77, of the Kibbee Community, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia following an extended illness.  She was born September 30, 1947, to the late George T. Fox and Edna Lenona Yarrow Fox at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.  Her father was in the U.S. Army and they lived all over the U.S. and Europe.  She was a 1965 graduate of Corpus Christi High School in Corpus Christi, Texas.  In 1975, while working at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, she met her husband, they moved to Kibbee where she lived the rest of her life.  She retired after twenty-eight years as an internal records management specialist at Carl Vinson Veterans’ Administration Medical Center in Dublin.  She was a member of the former Vidalia Church of God of Prophecy, and she enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, collecting cookbooks, and watching Westerns.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Earl “Big Sam” Robinson; son, Ricky Robinson; grandson, Mason McCarty; great-grandson, Cameron McCarty; and sister, Zelda Fox Williams.

Her family includes two children, George E. Robinson and Rebekah and Lori Ann Robinson Edward Harris III, all of Kibbee; one brother, Johnny Fox and wife Grace of New Albany, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Maci McCarty and Alana Johnson of Summertown, Dylan McCarty and Chelsea Hardy of Mt. Vernon, Cherie Hodges and husband Jordan, Jessica Castillo and husband Ariel, all of Macon, Jennifer Bedwell and husband Josh of Dexter, Jonathan James and wife Brandy of Thomaston, Jason and Joshua Cook of Kibbee, and Lashone Harris of Lyons; fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Monday, April 28th, 2025, at 3:00 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Gaynor Ridgdill officiating.  Burial will follow at North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:30 until just prior to the service.
