Henry O. Langrehr November 4,1924 to April 23,2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Henry Langrehr. Born on the 4th of November, 1924, Henry departed from this world on the 23rd of April, 2025, leaving a void in many hearts.
He married his sweetheart Arlene (Ketelsen) Langrehr on July 1, 1945 in Clinton, Iowa.
Henry was a loving father to his four children, Dennis Langrehr (spouse Marsha), Karen Winters, (spouse Robert) Kay Schneider (spouse David) and Dale Langrehr (spouse Jeanne), all of whom have survived him. Each of them was a source of immense pride and joy for Henry, a sentiment he never hesitated to express. If asked about his greatest accomplishment, Henry would invariably point to his family. Their successes, milestones, and happiness were his most treasured memories. This also is shown in the many moments he spent with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-children.
On June 6, 1944, now marked in history as D-Day. He served in the 82nd Airborne Division and parachuted into Sainte-Mere-E`glise, France. He always wanted people to remember his friends and comrades who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
His life scripture was Psalm 23. He would share this passage whenever he spoke at events and shared his testimony.
Beyond his military service, He was the owner and operator of Henry O Langrehr & Sons, General Contractors. His dedication to the craft and his consistent efforts to provide quality services have left an indelible mark on the City of Clinton.
Henry's departure is a loss to us all, but his strong faith, integrity in life and achievements serve as a beacon of inspiration. He embodied the values of family, hard work, and bravery, living a life that was truly well-lived.
Honoring his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded with a private remembrance for the immediate family to be held at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Henry Langrehr during this difficult time.
