Vanessa Lyvone Bellamy, age 80, of Troy, OH passed away on April 23, 2025 at her residence. She was born on October 21, 1944 in Letcher County, KY to the late Fitzu Ervin and Mabel (Fultz) Blanton.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Albert Wayne Bellamy; two children: Tammy (Randy) Chaney of Troy and Brian (Amber) Bellamy of Troy; six grandchildren: Tara and Trace Chaney, Ayden, Nathaniel, Breanna and Jackson Bellamy and sister: Betty Jo Malone of Dayton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Wanda Napier and Jackie Thompson and brother: Clifford Blanton.

She was a member and active volunteer of Greenview Calvary Tabernacle of Dayton. She was a housewife, stay-at-home mom and assisted her daughter with Tammy Bellamy’s School of Dance for over 30 years.  As a family, they enjoyed creating 24 floats for the Strawberry Festival Parade over the years. She was formerly employed at Sherwood Bowl and the Troy High School cafeteria. She was a beautiful person inside and out and the best mom, wife and mamaw. She always encouraged her family to their best and she had a smile that would light up a room.    

Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Baird Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
