Rosemarie Ann Ivers (nee Pigott), age 84, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, formerly of Chicago and Woodridge, IL, passed away peacefully at her home in Naperville, IL on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She was born on August 9, 1940, in Chicago, IL to Honora (nee Flynn) and Michael Pigott.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Francis Ivers. Loving mother Thomas and Neal. Cherished grandma of Connor and Morgan Ivers. Beloved daughter-in-law of the late Catherine (nee Bergdolld) and Thomas F. Ivers. Dear sister of William (Mary Kay) Pigott, the late Joseph (Karen) Hogan, the late Lucille (the late Joseph) Dwyer, the late Michael (the late Luella) Barrett, the late Jack (the late Shirley) Barrett, the late James (Delores) Barrett, the late Mary (the late Horace) Dowland, the late Edward (the late Eleanor) Barrett, late Kate (late John) Sutherland and the late Mary (late Richard) Small. Dear friend of Lindsay Soto and the late Alan Sturmer, and many more in the Chicago neighborhoods of Canaryville and Beverly.
Rosemarie attended St. Gabriel Catholic School in Chicago, IL followed by a secretarial school. Rosemarie worked at Armour & Company and Central Meat Packing Company for many years, placing her in the Union Stock Yards at the center of America's meatpacking industry. Rosemarie later became an office manager at Surety Builders in Woodridge, a developer of many homes in the village.
Rosemarie was a devoted hockey mom to both sons who played for the hockey teams of Downers Grove North High School, The Huskies, CPD Hockey Team, Downers Grove Royals, Chicago Jesters, Shamrocks, and everywhere the sons could obtain ice time.
A private interment will be held at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL.
