Cynthia Powell, age 69 of Antigo, died on April 23, 2025 at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 13, 1955 in Antigo, a daughter of the late Hubert and Shirley (Petrzelka) McDougal. She married Roy Powell on August 24, 1974 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook.

She was a 1973 graduate of Antigo High School and later attended the School of Cosmetology in Green Bay.

Cindy loved people and enjoyed her time working at Hunter's Super Market and City Cleaners in Antigo. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church where she was able to distribute communion to shut-ins.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking, feeding the birds, squirrels and even the mice under the deck. Cindy loved going to "Langlade" to the family cabin. A survivor of a double lung transplant, Cindy will be remembered as a strong, loving and courageous woman, who deeply loved her family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roy; two sons, Jason Powell of Antigo and Jeremy Powell of Antigo; two grandchildren, Colby Powell of Antigo and Camree Powell of Antigo; a brother, Jerry (Maydene) McDougal of Deerbrook; sisters- and brothers-in-law, Cindy (Neal) Martin of Deerbrook, Glenda (Jim) Yonke of Merrill, Debbie Witman of Pickerel, Anna (Sam) Bort of Racine, Richard (Sharon) Powell of Livingston, KY, Loren (Marian) Powell of Antigo, Daniel (Phil) Evans of Australia, and Don Teal of Antigo, Keith (Jo) Romenesko of Antigo. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Romenesko; sisters-in-law, Diane Strube and Mary Teal; and brothers-in-law, Tom Powell, Gary Strube, and Floyd E. Powell.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
