Lillian Darlene Brown Thomas, age 68, of Sale Creek, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 3, 1956, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Darlene was the cherished daughter of the late Russell and Maxine Brown. Known to her friends and family as “Dolly”, she was a devoted mother, an exceptional grandmother, and a woman of unwavering faith. Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her family, and she was a guiding light to all who knew her. Darlene’s faith could move mountains, and her deepest prayer was to see her children and grandchildren come to know Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Tyler Thomas, and several beloved brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Rex Dugger Jr. (Sheryl) and Melissa Hampton (David); grandchildren Dakota, Courtney, Aiden, Brody, and Kaylee; great-granddaughter Nevaeh; siblings, Diane Morgan, Lebron Brown, and Julis Brown, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Quinton Carter officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Granny Walker Cemetery.
