Kathryn L. Sumner was born in Bay City, MI on October 2, 1944 to the late William and Beulah Leoan (Hill) Hartman. She passed away on April 23, 2025.  She was preceded in death by her first husband Steven Moncman.  She later married Marvin D. Sumner who preceded her in death May 5, 2018.  Kathryn was retired from Car Quest where she had been employed for over 30 years

Survivors include her 2 daughters: Korie (Charles Hibbard) Wakeling and Stefanie (Lee) Dinsmore, 7 grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also leaves her siblings: Jerry and Robert Hartman, Steven, Ronald and Kimberly Huntley.  She was preceded in death by a daughter Leoan Amick and 3 brothers: James, Richard and William Hartman.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the chapel at Floral Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Erwin M. Hutter will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLaren Bay Medical Foundation.
