Rebecca A. Bobell Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Rebecca Stone Bobell, who was taken by leukemia at the age of 77. Becky was a loved member of her family and community, known for her spirit and spunk. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

At a young age she went to Barber College and for the next 35 years was known as “Becky the Barber.” Becky’s favorite things in life included family, beachcombing, bargain hunting and going on adventures.

Every person she encountered left a footprint on her heart and soul. Her legacy is one of love and connection, reminding us of the beautiful impact we can have on each other’s lives.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Trudy Ann Stone, cherished granddaughter Courtney Lynn Barker, and her loving parents Wilfred and Barbara (Gauwitz) Sarver of Rome, Illinois.

Becky is survived by her best friend and husband Terry Bobell, her daughter Stephanie Barker, stepdaughters Tanya Bobell, and Tammy Southworth and stepson Logan Bobell. She also leaves behind Mackenzie (Barker) Reber, Chase Barker and several other cherished grandchildren. Additionally, she was the proud great-grandmother of seven great-grandchildren, including “her boy” Jaxson Reber, who brought her immense joy and happiness.

Becky is also survived by her sisters, Chris Heinrich and Carol (Daryl) Wagner, and nephews Austin Heinrich, Ike Wagner and Aaron (Nay) Wagner.

In this time of grief, we remember Becky’s legacy of love and compassion. May she rest in peace.
