Carol Ann Zolla Obituary

Carol Ann Zolla (nee Olson), age 85 of Plainfield, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025 at Lemont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 24, 1939 in Chicago, to her loving parents, Leroy and Helen Olson.


Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Zolla, in 2019; her parents; and her siblings, Robert (Mary) Olson.


She is survived by her loving sons, Mark Zolla of Plainfield, Michael (Jacquelin) Zolla of Lemont, IL and Tony (Amy) Zolla of Plainfield, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Kyle and Olivia; and her niece, Kathy Olson.


Carol was a devoted housewife and loved being a wife, mom, and grandma. Along with her husband Joe, she owned and operated Joe’s Place on Walcott and his second bar Escape Hatch on 79th and Pulaski. She loved gaming, sports and spending time with her three sons.


In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.


Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 4:00-6:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL 60544. (Corners of Rt. 30 & Rt. 59). Funeral service to follow 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. John Regan officiating. Interment will be private.
