Delma Waters Moore, age 78, was born December 25, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio and went to be with the Lord for her last trip on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mercedes Waters; sister, Ruth Smith; and brother, Jesse Waters Jr.
She graduated from Dunbar High School, received her Associate degrees in Procurement & Material Management and Accounting from Sinclair Community College; Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Capital University, Columbus, OH and her Masters in General Administration from Central Michigan University.
Delma loved the Lord and completed study of His Word with the Precept upon Precept Bible studies: Romans, Colossians, I and II Corinthians, Revelation, Genesis, Psalms, St. John, Isaiah, “End Times” prophecies, 2 Timothy, Ezekiel, and Zechariah.
Her other hobbies were traveling around the world where she visited all the continents. Delma went to Israel and was baptized in the Jordan River. She spent 525 days on 49 cruises, and numerous land trips. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens and with her house plants. Delma was also a member of Trotwood Library book club and enjoyed going to the YMCA.
Delma retired from the Federal Government after 43 years at various locations: Defense Electronic Supply Center (DESC), Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) in Dayton, OH, NASA (John Stennis Space Center (SSC), MS & Goddard Space Flight Center (GFSC)/IV&V Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), in Fairmont, WV.
She was a faithful member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church and Phillips Temple CME Church. Also, Delma did several mission trips overseas.
Delma leaves to cherish her memory a devoted and loving daughter, Kimberly Bonner; sons Ronald Bonner Jr. and Charles Robert Jordan II; sisters, Cynthia Bass and Almeda Waters; brother, Jerrold Waters all of Dayton, OH. Also, special sister, Sharon Turner Pittard; 6 grandsons Michael, Tieran and Ronald Bonner III, CV Mitchell IV, Dylan Embree and Anthony Walls; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 2, 2025, at Phillips Temple CME Church, 3620 Shiloh Springs Road, Trotwood, Ohio 45426. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
