Charlene Mundy Townsend Obituary
Charlene Mundy Townsend of Granite Falls passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at her residence.
Born December 10, 1943 in Catawba county she was the daughter of the late Charles Mundy and Eunice Bentley Mundy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Townsend; brother J.C. Mundy; and three sisters Mary Herman, Shirley Reid, and Evelyn Hines.
Charlene was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Lenoir.
She is survived by her daughters Susan Wilson and husband Gwyn of Hickory, Kim Bumgarner and husband Warren of Woolwine, VA, and Tammy Townsend of Granite Falls; five grandchildren Ryan Wilson (Jessica), Christen Wilson (Will), Zachary Dillard, Addie Bumgarner, and Evan Bumgarner; three great grandchildren Chandon Wilson, Breeley Wilson, and Paisley Dillard.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church, Lenoir with Pastor Warren Bumgarner officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Baptist Church Cemetery.
