Ronald R. “Ron” Studt, age 75, of “Old Carpentersville” passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, 2025, at Alden Estates in Barrington.

Ron was born in Elgin on November 10, 1949, and was the son of the late Harold & Katherine (nee’ Huffine) Studt.

Ron was a lifelong resident of the area and a longtime member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee. Before retirement, for 33 years, Ron was a loyal and valued employee of Seigle’s in Elgin.

He loved to vacation in warm and tropical locations, was a loyal Chicago White Sox and Bears fan, and was a dog lover, especially of the Corgi breed.

Survivors include his beloved wife and best friend of 48 years, Victoria “Vicky” (nee Kauffman), whom he married on January 15, 1977; their daughter, Katherine “Katie” Studt; his sister, Joan (Robert) McManaman; his brother, Robert (Linda) Studt; his sisters-in-law, Cindy Leetzow and Rebekah Meier; as well as his nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his stepfather, Howard Floyd; his in-laws, LeRoy and Helen Kauffman; his brothers-in-law, Tom Leetzow and Brad Meier; and a nephew, Jeff McManaman.

Family and Friends will gather for a Memorial Funeral Service on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main Street in East Dundee, with Rev. William P. Yonker, Senior Pastor, officiating. Inurnment will be private. Ron’s family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Please omit flowers. A memorial has been established in his memory in care of his family.
