Patrick Biondello Sr., 78 of Branford, CT, passed away on April 23, 2025 after a short illness.

Patrick was born April 25 1947 to Ralph and Viola Biondello in New Haven, CT. After graduating from Branford High School, Patrick was enlisted in the United States Army serving two years and an active duty tour in Vietnam. Patrick was the recipient of two purple heart awards and the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service to the country.

After Vietnam, Patrick was employed with the SNET phone company. He married his wife Paula in 1971, going on to have two children – his son Patrick Jr. and his daughter Dawn Marie.

After retiring from the phone company in 1996 Patrick enjoyed spending time with his family. He was known for his sweet disposition and generosity. Patrick very sincerely cared about his family and always asked how you were doing first. He was proud of his service to the country, his career at the phone company and most importantly his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents, and his brother (Michael Torello), and his grandson Christopher Patrick Biondello. He is survived by his wife Paula Biondello, daughter Dawn Biondello, son Patrick Biondello Jr. (Kathleen Casey). He is also survived by his granddaughters Ashley Biondello (Matt Golding), Lauren Biondello (Adam Marino); and Great granddaughters Ava Noelle and Emilia Grace.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 10:00 – 11:00, with a service at 11:00.
