Ross Gearinger, age 77, of Dublin, GA, passed away on April 23, 2025. Ross was from Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from East Tennessee State University, in Johnson City, Tennessee, and Sam Houston State University, in Huntsville, Texas. He was a career employee of the Georgia Department of Corrections from 1975-2017. He was a member of Pine Forest Methodist Church, Dublin, Georgia.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Emma Gearinger, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and his two brothers, Buck Gearinger of Akron, Ohio, and Paul Gearinger, of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Also, Ross was preceded in death by his three loyal pet dogs; Sooner, Bubba George, and Buster.

He is survived by his significant other, Karen Savage Carter of Dublin, Georgia, and his rescue dog, Banjo.

Ross loved his many trips in retirement to St. Simons Island with Karen and her dog, Toto. All enjoyed the area which always seemed so calm and peaceful. Ross was always strong in his convictions. He believed in standing for what he thought to be proper and ethical.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Dublin Memorial Gardens.
