Gloria (Schwing) Bohinski passed on April 23, 2025 in Neptune City, New Jersey. She was born on September 22, 1949 to David F. Schwing and Barbara A. Parrish in Hamilton, Ohio. Gloria graduated from Ross High School in 1967.
Gloria was a lover of life, people, and family. Gloria was always the life of every party and never met a stranger.
After kissing a few frogs, Gloria met her prince in John F. Bohinski. They had 34 wonderful years together traveling, entertaining, working, and playing. They were best friends and did everything together.
Gloria loved to wall paper, sew, paint, garden, cook, and anything that needed doing. She bought her first house and did a lot of the renovations herself by getting books from the library. Gloria was a great friend, fun and thoughtful, keeping good friends, old and new. She was always there to help a friend or family member in need.
But most of all, Gloria loved her family. She is survived by her loving husband John Bohinski, daughter Christine G. Schwing, son Jacob H. Walston, two grandchildren, Alex R. Hall and Kaycee I. Walston. She leaves stepdaughters Buffy (Bohinski) Nordstrom and Melissa (Walston) Weaver and step grandchildren Ronnie F. Bohinski, Lucas J. Nordstrom, Jonah T. Nordstrom, Travis M. Haggard (wife Glenda), Courtney (Ayers) (husband Brandon) Wills, and Noah (wife Nekayla) Hall and great granddaughter Eliana G. Wills . The oldest of 6 siblings, Gloria is proceeded in death by her sister Glenda (Schwing) Stamper, and leaves David J. Schwing, Gayla (Schwing) Geyer, Darrel Schwing, and Susan (Siegle) Martin. She is proceeded in death by her parents David F. Schwing and Barbara A. Parrish but leaves 12 nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews, and countless first, second, and third cousins.
Gloria will be missed by everyone who knew her.
A celebration of life will be help on June 16th, 2025 from 1pm - 5pm at the Red Bank Elks Lodge, 40 Front St. Red Bank.
