Ms. Bridgett F. (Curry) Ladd peacefully made her transition on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia to live forever with our Lord and Savior.

Bridgett Curry Born on December 27, 1969, in Elberton, Georgia, Bridgett was the beloved daughter of Jane Lee Curry Conley and Rondle Fleming.  Her stepfather Henry James Conley proceed her in death.

Bridgett graduated from St. Paul Central High School in 1988, in Minnesota, where her love for the performing arts began to blossom. She pursued a successful modeling career, appearing in numerous music videos for renowned artists, including The Artist Formerly Known as Prince. Her passion for creativity later led her behind the camera, where she became a visionary filmmaker and storyteller. Bridgett spent several years writing screenplays and shorts, establishing herself as a rising voice in independent cinema. Her short film "Wounded Hearts" won “Best Screenplay” at the TPN Film Festival in 2016. Her SAG/AFTRA short film, "The Other Man," was an official selection at the 2018 Pan African Film Festival, as well as the Baltimore, Twin Cities, and Charlotte Film Festivals, and is currently streaming on Genre TV.

Through personal loss, she developed a unique lens for exploration, crafting narratives that resonate with raw emotion and authenticity, effectively connecting her audience to their own experiences of grief and healing.

In 2021, Bridgett produced and directed her first feature documentary, "Motherless Daughters," a deeply personal and poignant tribute born from the loss of her mother during the COVID-19 pandemic. The documentary continues to resonate with audiences and is now streaming on Tubi. In 2023, she expanded her body of work with two powerful new shorts: "Scars Beneath," a reflection on mental health struggles, and "Watch Night Watch Out," a moving period piece, both actively circulating in film festivals.

Bridgett is preceded in death by her mother Janie Curry Conley, her stepfather Henry James Conley, her baby sister Kailyn Ivona Conley, and her grandparents James Curry Sr., Lucille Bolden Curry also Cottrell and Barbara Fleming.  She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sister, Chamir Curry Conley ‘’Chyna’’; her devoted brothers, Rimini Henri Conley, Keenen Charles Conley; her uncle, James Curry Jr.’’Sonny’’; and her aunt, Josephine Curry Langston, all of Elberton, Georgia.

Bridgett is also lovingly remembered by her brothers Rodney Stephenson Fleming (Lois), Sherod Lamont Fleming and LeSean Dion Fleming (Tia), sons of Rondle Fleming (Gwendolyn). Aunts Audrey Hunley (Rufus), Geraldine Fleming (Harold), Josephine Fleming (James), Annie Fleming (Marshall), Sarah Calhoun (Walter) and Uncle Edward Fleming, and her life partner; Anthony Ladd Sr. She leaves behind a host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, treasured friends, and beloved colleagues from her film and creative communities, all of whom were touched by her radiant spirit, passion, and generosity.
