David Glen McBride, age 66, of Decatur, Alabama, passed away on April 23, 2025.

He was born November 20, 1958, in Decatur, AL to Gordon and Letha Glasco McBride.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a proud father to Ben McBride, Lindsay Oliver (Blake), and Melanie White (Britt), and a grandfather to Annabella Oliver, Brynna Cowan, Kathryn White, Charlotte McBride, Cooper McBride, and Bennett White. He is also survived by his sister, Karen Hirons (Fred), and his brother, Gordon McBride (Tracy).

David owned and operated a bail bonding business for 14 years and also served his community as an EMT for 4 years. He was known for his dedication, humor, selflessness, and genuine care for those around him.

In his free time, David enjoyed fishing, collecting and shooting guns, and hosting fish fries surrounded by his family and friends—his favorite way to bring people together.

A service will be held in his memory on May 2, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley in appreciation for their compassionate care and support.
