Carrie Virginia Cifers Obituary
Mrs. Carrie Cifers, age 100, of Danville, died on April 23rd, 2025 at SOVAH Health-Danville.
She was born on May 2nd, 1924 in Halifax County, Virginia to the late John Cleveland Ratliff and Eliza Florence Ramey Ratliff.
Mrs. Cifers spent her working years as a secretary at her family’s business, Cifers Auto Parts.
She is survived by her son, James Cifers, Sr. (Debbie); brother, Bobby Ratliffe; sister, Gladys Spangler; grandchildren, Jim Cifers (Bobbie Jo), Angela Anderson (Jamie), and Crystal Newman (Josh); and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cifers was predeceased by her husband, William Robert Cifers, Jr.; son, William Robert Cifers III; six brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 28, 2025, at 2:00pm at Swicegood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mike Wiles officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm, prior to the service. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park.
