Maria Anna Camiolo Obituary

Maria Anna Camiolo, known affectionately to friends and family as MaryAnn, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in New York, New York. Born on August 27, 1969, in The Bronx, New York, MaryAnn lived a life marked by passion, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones.

MaryAnn's innate musical talent emerged early in her life and was nurtured at the Mark Twain Intermediate School for the Gifted and Talented. She continued her studies at Bishop Kearney High School. MaryAnn touched the lives of many with her gift as the first violinist, bringing joy through her performances.

As much as music was a part of her soul, so was her dedication to her career. MaryAnn's professional journey was as varied as her interests, from enlightening customers as a sales associate at Macy's to managing administrative tasks with a construction company. Additionally, she was a bank teller in Brooklyn during her youth. Her compassion shone brightest in her role as a caregiver for her mother. Within each position, MaryAnn shared her boundless energy and loving spirit.

Family was the cornerstone of MaryAnn's world. Her husband, Anthony Camiolo, stood by her as a loving partner throughout their lives. Her children, Gabby and Peter Camiolo, were her pride and joy. Through every life lesson and tender moment, her love for them knew no bounds. MaryAnn's parents, Antonio and Lilliana Buono, instilled in her the values of faith and family that defined who she was.

MaryAnn's world was colored with an array of interests that reflected her beatiful personality. She was a virtuoso of the piano, and her affinity for theme parks and resorts, especially Disney's Epcot and the Grand Floridian, was well known among her friends and family. Many a joyful day was spent savoring the tastes of Beaches and Cream restaurant at Disney World, sipping coffee after a delicious dessert, or shopping all day long. The tranquility of the beach, the soothing sound of seagulls, and the warmth of the sun and the sand were her sanctuary.

A sentimental and vibrant spirit, MaryAnn adored Mickey Mouse and the beauty of roses. The sparkle of meticulously crafted jewelry always caught her eye, just as the Burning Windmill at Epic Universe captured her imagination. She treasured her pets, Jack and Ginny, and held a special place in her heart for all animals.

In the tapestry of MaryAnn's life, every thread from music to art, dance to shopping, family to the quiet moments at home, was woven with love and a faith that guided her through life's complexities. Recognized for her courage, her friends and family knew her as a beacon of hope, always finding light in the darkest of times. Her unfaltering optimism and caring nature left an indelible mark on all she encountered.

MaryAnn Camiolo will forever be remembered as the embodiment of a loving, faith-filled, and courageous woman. Her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate to know her and her spirit will live on in the melodies that she cherished, the waves that kiss the shore, and the laughter of her children that echoes her own. She is survived by her husband Anthony, her children Gabby and Peter, and her parent Lilliana.

Her family takes solace in knowing that MaryAnn's spirit, as vibrant as the most radiant sunrise, will continue to guide and comfort them in the years to come. As the matriarch of their family, she has left behind not just memories, but also a profound legacy of love and strength that will endure forever. She was a perfect daughter, mother, and wife.
