Claudette Aramenta Shaw White,  born in Princess Anne County to the late Cylester Shaw and Sadie Daughtry Shaw.  She was taught in Virginia Beach public schools.  High School Class of 60’ of Princess Anne County Training School.  Claudette attended Norfolk State University and later graduated from Kee’s Business College. Claudette was one of the first African American women out of Seatack to work for the VA Beach City Dump as a trash truck weigher, she went on to retire from Issues and Answers Network Inc.

Claudette was pre-deceased by her father, mother, her sister Cylestine and her brother Timmy.

Affiliations:  Mt. Olive Baptist Church, she sang in the Youth Choir and was a member of Pastor’s Aide, she assisted with the 5th Sunday Youth Devotional and back-to-school gift Sunday; Dahlia and Aster Chapter of the Daisy Chain Social and Charity Club, the Class of 1960 PACTS.

Claudette's favorite pastime was sitting home chilling and doing nothing.
