Anthony Lanza Obituary

Anthony Lanza, 84, passed away March 8, 2019. He was born May 10, 1934 in Detroit, son of the late Dominick Lanza. He will always be remembered as a strong willed, successful business man. Anthony enjoyed being outdoors and he always looked forward to the annual family vacation when his children were younger. Anthony and his wife, Gladys enjoyed being involved in many craft shows. He was a skilled craftsman and would do the woodwork and Gladys was a talented artist and would paint the items they would bring to the shows. It was something they both were very talented at and it was also something they both truly enjoyed. He is survived by his children: Karen (Richard) Gouin, Dominic (Kathy) Lanza, Annette (Robert) Wallace, and Paul (Julie) Lanza; his grandchildren: Holly (Thomas) Thill, Ashley Maher, Jason (Jamie) Lanza, Brandon (Michelle) Lanza, Aaron Lanza, Kirsten Stewart, Connor (Jillian) Lanza; his great-grandchildren: Thomas, Preston, Noah, Tanner, Jasmine, Mia, Vanessa, Ethan, Janay, and Janiyah. Anthony was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys in 2006. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at PHILLIPS FUNERAL HOME, 122 West Lake St., South Lyon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 12 at 11:00AM instate 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 S. Lafayette, South Lyon. Anthony will be laid to rest beside his wife in Oakland Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Anthony Lanza to: Reverence Home Health & Hospice, 37650 Garfield Road, Clinton Twp., Michigan 48036. Donations may be made to the attention of: Director- Mark Brettschneider.
