Nellie Ann Mellor of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 19, 2025. She was 78 years old.
Nellie was born on March 13, 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Laura Blouse Kokoszka and Stanley Kokoszka. Upon graduation from Notre Dame High School in Media, Delaware County, she worked for Competitive Media for 49 years until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. Nellie especially enjoyed Black Friday shopping with her best friend, Marylou Angelucci for years. She looked forward to talking to her children on the phone every day and loved getting all her family together for the annual Memorial Day barbeques.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Charles "Butch" Mellor, Jr. in 2022
Nellie was the beloved mother of Christopher Mellor (Leyna), Lauren Cruse (Miguel) and Eileen Green (Dave); nine grandchildren, CJ, Alyssa, Aubrey, Christian, Gia, Cody, MJ, Amber and Brianna; two great grandchildren, Noelle and Octavia; her sister, Laura Kokoszka (Marvin) and her brother, Stosh Kokoszka. Nellie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Per Nellie's wishes, her service will be private.
