John Thomas Gallagher December 16, 1982-February 27, 2019 Resident of Los Angeles John passed away last Wednesday, having lived a lot of life in a short amount of time. John will be missed by many, including his parents Mary and John, his sisters Heather and Holly. He leaves behind brothers in law, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and many, many friends including the Anderman Family. John grew up in Drexel Hill, attended Haverford High School, graduated from St. Joseph’s University and was a successful assistant editor and voice over talent in both Chicago and Los Angeles. Running was a big part of his life. He loved to train for marathons including the San Francisco and United States Marine Corps Marathon to honor his Dad. He belonged to a running club called The Republic, a group he fondly referred to as his family on the West Coast. Films and screen writing were another passion. As a member of the Screen Actors Guild, he enjoyed receiving films for Oscar consideration to discuss with friends and family the details of film composition and writing. As an assistant editor at Whitehouse Productions and Arcade, he worked alongside fantastic people and talented editors to produce commercials for television. When he was home in Philadelphia, he always visited his childhood friend Craig Anderman. He discovered his love of travel after studying abroad in London. He was able to visit friends around the world. He loved Philly sports especially the Eagles and the Flyers. On a few occasions, his Dad would take John out of school to attend opening day at the Phillies. He laughed when his Mom would say he was the most fun kid to raise. He will be missed by everyone. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with his family 9:30-10:30a.m. Monday March 11, 2019 at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd, Chadds Ford, PA followed by his Memorial Mass 10:30 A.M.
