Russell Dale Rowsey

Russell Dale Rowsey 1963 – 2019 Russell Dale Rowsey, 55, of Catlettsburg, KY, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019. Rus was born April 25, 1963 in Huntington, WV to the late Norma Rowsey Hunley. He was a 1981 graduate of Boyd County High School, served his country honorably in the US Army, and was currently a truck driver for Fed-Ex Freight. Rus was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of American Legion, F.O.E; his hobbies were coaching Little League, golf, music, gardening, hunting, and fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are his children, David Rowsey, his wife Amanda, Ciera Vanover, her husband Virgil, III, and Russell Rowsey, II, all of Russell, KY, ten precious grandchildren, Caleb Rowsey, Ian Rowsey, Bryson Rowsey, Bailee Rowsey, Urijah Rowsey, Brighton Vanover, Harper Rowsey, Colton Vanover, Griffynn Rowsey, and Paxton Rowsey. Funeral service for Rus will be at 7:00pm Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Military Honors by Post 93 and the US Army. Visiting hours are 5:00pm until Service Time Thursday evening at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the Rowsey Family suggests donations to Catlettsburg Little League, PO Box 38, Catlettsburg, KY 41129. Condolences may be left at kilgorecollierfuneralhome.com.
