Tracie Marie Perry Obituary

Tracie Perry, a homemaker and longtime resident of Richford, VT died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 27th at the age of 51 due to unforeseen heart complications. Tracie was born in St. Albans on May 7, 1967 to Charlotte Bergeron and the late Herman “Jimmy” Perry. She grew up in Sheldon and attended high school in Enosburg Falls. During her high school career, Tracie excelled at sewing and even handcrafted her own prom dress. Subsequent to her graduation from Enosburg Falls High School in 1986, she gave birth to her daughter, Tawnya at the age of 20. Two years later, Tracie also welcomed into the world her son, Matthew. She worked as a stay at home mother until briefly becoming a lunch lady when her children began primary school. For the duration of her life, Tracie also had a passion for baking and was renowned in the family for her peanut butter balls and banana bread. In more recent years, Tracie played an active role in the raising of her grandchildren which brought her joy on a daily basis. She also enjoyed weekly excursions to New York with her close friend, Tasha. Tracie loved her family and friends and was always happy to spend time with them. Always open to meeting new people, Tracie never met a stranger. She never judged anybody for their choices and respected the different perspectives of those around her. Tracie is survived by many cousins, nieces, aunts, uncles and nephews though closely by her children, Tawnya Ploof and her husband Joshua of Richford and Matthew Boutin of Fairfax; her “soul-friend” Timothy Dudley of Bakersfield; her sister, Sarah Weatherwax of Enosburg Falls; her brother Lenny Ostrout of Swanton; and her grandchildren, Kaydance and Liam Ploof of Richford and Nathan Boutin-Pratt and Eli Boutin of Colchester. She is predeceased by her mother, Charlotte; her father, Herman “Jimmy” Perry; her brother, Robert Perry; and her great-nephew, Austin Ploof. In lieu of holding a formal funeral service, the family will instead hold a celebration of life in the springtime. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, where online condolences and memories may be shared with her family and friends at: www.bradyandlevesque.com
