Beverly B. Natter
Beverly Natter passed away on February 27, 2019. She was 84 years old. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Burgess, Virginia. She moved to Richmond following college at Mary Washington University where she met the love of her life - a man named Josef who emigrated to the US from Germany following World War II. He was 11 when the war ended and left Germany for good when he turned 19 and with only $5 in his pocket. They were married in 1964 and had their first and only child, Mark, in 1968. They moved to Brandon, Florida in 1970 and bought the home of their dreams where they stayed for the rest of their lives. Beverly was a faithful wife and a loving mother who made a wonderful home for her husband and son and was the place all the kids in the neighborhood visited for a good meal or heart to heart chat. She was a strong woman who beat cancer 3 times and survived 2 heart attacks and was fiercely independent and determined to make every day the best it could be. For many years she would walk daily on her treadmill while praying the rosary and sending up prayers for every member of her family. Beverly was preceded in death by her brother Michael, her sister Margaret and husband Josef and is survived by her son Mark, nieces JoEllen and Stacey, nephews David, Sean, and Brendan and grandson Liam. Throughout her life, Beverly was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother and friend. Beverly will always be remembered for her love of card games especially bridge and pinochle, great Scotch, a good steak, strong coffee, and her 8 year old grandson Liam. Her passing has deeply saddened our family, but we are relieved she is no longer suffering and is reunited with Josef and her siblings in heaven. She has left behind a family who will be forever grateful for her love, compassion and independent spirit.September 14, 1934 - February 27, 201909/14/193402/27/2019
